Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki: Exploring SRK’s Return to Boyish, Evergreen Charm and Family Drama

A review of latest Shahrukh Khan starrer “Dunki”

Dunki is a kind of film that reminds you why anyone became a Shahrukh Khan in the first place. It has the boyish charm of SRK, found in his earlier films like Badshah, Yes Boss, Duplicate – which was refreshing to see it again in an evolved format.

It is a complete family drama, with a nice message filled with humor and charm, packed in an excellent screenplay by Rajkumar Hirani.

Overall, it’s a lovely feel-good film. (Secret life of Walter Mitty, Sleepless in Seattle, Swades, and more)

You would want to rewatch a few scenes later, just like other RKH films. However, some things could be better (some substory plots, maybe a better actress with better chemistry with SRK, and other stuff, but at this point, I’m nitpicking).
